I always have to turn on the numeric keypad on startup screen because by default is it off, no matter if it was on before shutting down the computer it is always off in startup screen.
To be clearer about it: it is always off when I turn on my computer and it stays off forever unless I turn it on with the numlk key. Do you know a way to change this and make the numeric pad to be on by default? I have the same problem and can vouch that the response from Alex is wrong. Well, the way for me to avoid having to deal with this issue every time that I had to sign in my computer was to use the Picture Password or the digital print password.
With those two types of passworda I never have to type my password and once I get into windows the numeric pad maintains the same set up before turning off the computer.
